Demonstration on the use of the Japanese Sword by Orlando Seibunkan dojo with sensei Bob Lampp. Witness the art in kumitachi ( practice  forms) and tameshigire (target cutting).

          

     Bonsai – Ikebana

Samurai calmed their spirit by practicing  ka do (way of flowers). T here will be  bonsai & Ikebana exhibits featuring  the Central Florida Bonsai Club of Orlando and the Orlando/Winter Park  Chapter 132  Ikebana International Society.

    Yamato Tradition

Saturday 1:00 PM  Sword  scholars  will present an exhibit of important Japanese Swords from the Yamato (Nara) Tradition.  A display and informational presentation will be  followed by a “hands on” opportunity with these treasured swords.  Mr. Joe Forcine and Ray Singer presenting

        Shaolin – Tai Chi

Saturday 4:00 PM 
Sifu Malon Pilossoph and sensei Allen Hoss will demonstrate traditional Chinese long sword and sabre forms, a classical contrast to the Japanese style of sword practice using Nihonto.

     Sword Etiquette

If you would like to learn about how to properly handle a Japanese sword while acquiring a number of helpful tips on sword viewing, you can use this session to  prepare for viewing in the showroom or exhibit. Mr. Joe Forcine is instucting.
This is a very popular half hour for “newbies”.

Tsuba Roundtable

Saturday 2:30 & 5:00 PM
What is your passion – iron, soft metal, koshirae?  What do you find most interesting about a particular item? This is an informal show and tell open to anyone to show off or learn more about aspects of appreciation. Bring something to share with a small group, or simply handle some great works and learn.

Hozoin ryu Sojutsu

Saturday 3:00 pm A demonstration of the ancient art of spearsmanship once practiced by the  warrior monks of Nara. The South Florida Tosa no Kai dojo will be presenting this exciting program .
